Zoom School - Voting - Stories on Stage Sacramento

I am beyond grateful for family, friends, health and all of the privileges and comforts I enjoy. The photos depict a few highs and lows of the year - spending hours with my grandchildren Monday through Friday is at the top of my gratitude list.

• Rediscovering crafting (Doggies Cotton & Toast made from fuzzy socks - thanks YouTube!)
• Breaking my ankle hiking in the Adirondacks
• Voting from the NYC hotel room where I sequestered for 20 days before & after surgery on my busted ankle
• Co-directing Stories on Stage Sacramento with good friend & amazing author Shelley Blanton-Stroud, via Zoom for the first time in the series ten year history.

​I'm happy to share that I recently found virtual homes for a quirky short story and a flash nonfiction piece. Both had been rejected many times and I was about to "retire" them.  
​
Monkey Island (Memoir Magazine) harkens back to my San Francisco childhood, when the zoo was our neighborhood playground. Art Everlasting (Bewildering Stories)  is the only 'ghost' story I've ever written. It was inspired by the painting of the dude with the amazing wig (Henry Thompson, ca. 1705-1715, artist unknown).
